Andaz Napa: Our Weekend Stay In Wine Country

I have been an HUGE fan of the Andaz Napa since I visited Napa two years ago and us girls stopped in for a quick drink and live music one night. So to be able to return back and partner with the Andaz and be an actual guest at the Andaz Napa was SUCH a treat!

Even though our flight was delayed (that pushed back our arrival time to a hair past 11 PM) we were still greeted with the friendliest staff & a glass of wine of our choice! Plus a total lively lobby where the bar was filled with guests and locals all enjoying wine and cocktails at the bar. We decided with the red, checked in seamlessly, and headed up to our room to get settled in and relax after traveling!

As many of you know, I’m a huge interior design junkie and truly appreciate a well designed space. I feel like it sets the entire mood of an entrance or the stay of guests. To say the Andaz Napa nailed their vibe would be an understatement. I remember it being super swanky but still really down to earth when I stopped in two years ago, but being back blew my memories of this spot out of the water again.

Since I had popped in before on my previous visit to Napa, I knew there was a 2nd floor terrace/patio. We dropped in on our last morning because I had been raving about it to Dennis the entire time! Haha. It has such a cozy feel with all of the cute rocking chairs, fire pits, little cabanas, the bar set up, etc. I love that Andaz Napa makes the terrace perfect for any season. With fire pits for the fall and winter months and cabanas with shaded areas for the summer months.

We booked the king deluxe loft room and were blown away. I never knew I needed a fireplace in a hotel room until we walked into our room here at the Andaz Napa. Not one but TWO fireplaces. I mean c’mon, how dreamy is that?! I was freezing when we arrived so it was perfect to throw the fireplace on and enjoy our wine!

We’ve stayed at an Andaz hotel before (you can catch our staycation from the 4th of July at the Andaz in Scottsdale here!) so I knew they offered complimentary snacks and soft drinks in the room-which we quickly dove into the go along with our wine! This is where one of the staff members pointed out one of the number one reasons they love Hyatt hotels so much is because of how comfy their beds are. Once she mentioned that, me & Den both were like “whoa, you’re totally right. I slept like a rock!” and since then, it’s been one of my favorite things about Hyatt hotels, too. Again, the Andaz Napa was no different and we slept like happy little children haha!

Next, can we also have a moment of silence for how AMAZING that tub is the room?! Anyone that knows me knows that I am totally NOT a bath person-like at all. I just don’t understand them. However, this tub was seriously calling my name. Luckily, we were around the corner from a Lush store. So, we grabbed a bath bomb for me and I now realize what all the fuss is about with baths. It was so dang great and relaxing. But now I feel totally spoiled being in this amazing of a tub. This tub is now on my “when I become rich and…” list of things I’ll forever want!

Our first morning while we getting ready, we ordered room service and some pre-wine tasting cocktails. Bloody Mary for him & a mimosa for myself. We indulged in some toast, eggs, and potatoes while we continued to relax in the comfort of our own room.

Staying at Andaz Napa made getting to our other plans incredibly easy. Since the hotel is situation right along 1st Street, it’s just a quick 10 minute walk (tops) to the Oxbow Market, which is where we grabbed food our 2nd and 3rd day. Secondly, one of our new favorite wines is JaM and when we saw that Andaz Napa was legitimately right next door to their tasting room, we got SO excited. After we finished the wine trolley, we popped in for a tasting: one bubbly, one white, and one red. Across the street and just down the road are a handful of restaurant options to choose from as well. Andaz Napa truly is the best spot to be in if you’re heading to Napa.
