Happy Monday, everyone! Okay, so I’m not sure if all of this New Year 2019 hype is still a thing, but it is for me! So here I am, still rolling with it! For some reason, 2019 is feeling SO much more like a fresh start than past years. I’m feeling super inspired, extremely motivated, and just overall ready to make 2019 an incredible productive year full of growth! This post is all about vision boards & why you need a vision board in your life going into 2019!! It’s a fun one, I promise!
PSSST: KEEP READING UNTIL THE END TO SEE A FUN VIDEO I CREATED OF MY 2019 VISION BOARD PROCESS!
One of the things I love to do but haven’t done in YEARS is create a vision board! Whether it’s a physical or digital vision board, they are incredibly good for the soul! Personally, I prefer doing physical vision boards and actually cutting images out of a magazine. I gathered a bunch of images or sayings that truly spoke to me and that were things I want to manifest in 2019. After getting all of the images together, I went to town on putting the vision board together and bringing it to life!
PRO TIP: IF YOU DON’T HAVE A BUNCH OF OLD MAGAZINES LAYING AROUND (BECAUSE I CERTAINLY DIDN’T!), GO TO THE HOLY GRAIL: PINTEREST!
I typed in key words that I’m thinking about when it comes to 2019. Places I want to visit. Powerful quotes that spoke to me. All of the things! I saved and printed any and everything that I found on Pinterest! I didn’t think I’d end up being able to fit everything on the vision board, but I actually did it. Next, I used glue for the first few bigger images. After that, I started using washi tape just in case I wanted to move some things around. I figured it was easier than using glue again. I love mixing graphic quotes with images, too! There truly are no rules when it comes to creating your own vision board. It’s whatever fits your personality best! How fun is that?! Now that I have my vision board completed, I seriously LOVE it. It has me feeling inspired each time I catch a glance at it. However, the poster board ended up being a tiny bit too big for my office area with everything else I have in there. Because I used washi tape for most cut out images, I was able to easily take off my top few favorites and easily use a push pin to pin them to some cork squares I had already hanging. That way I have a constant reminder when I’m working in there of what I want to manifest in 2019. It adds some personality to our little office, too which is always nice!
That basically wraps it up for this years vision board! I made a fun little video of the process, too. One of my small goals is trying to make more short video clips. Is that something you guys want to continue to see!? It seems like a more interactive way to stay connected to you all, too! Drop your opinions in the comment section below!
